Sculptures

The Delegation is probably Günter Schmidt Klör's most important and powerful work. Each of the 99 figures is made up of a pillar-shaped concrete body into which an aluminum face mask formed using the sand casting process is integrated. The masks appear archaically simplified and yet have individual features. None of these characters should ever stand alone, because every character is part of a group from the start.

 

They symbolize the strength and boldness of a community of solidarity.
